As most of you will know by now, Im a Madridsta! So its rare that I write about any other teams matches other than Real Madrid, if you don't like it you know where to click X!!
So tonights game was between Real Madrid and Auxerre, played at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid had already qualified at the top of their Champions League table and Auxerre were already out, although they could've still qualified for the Europa league.
Jose Mourinho, Xabi Alonso and Sergio Ramos were all banned from the match. But Real had plenty of good players to fill their places. Jersey Dudek stepped in for Iker Casillas but sadly after two great saves was injured and obtained a jaw injury (he will be out for 6 weeks) Adan came on to replace him and for being a relatively young and inexperienced goal keeper for playing in the CL did a great job.
Benzema opened the scoring sheet, scoring Real's 300th goal in the CL and making them the first club to do so. Cristiano Ronaldo scored 2nd dedicating the goal to his son who was in the stands with his Grandmother. Benzema scored a further two goals making it his first hatrick for Real Madrid =D Benzema 3rd goal was an impressive curved lobbed shot, which actually left me speechless. So so so happy that Benzema is finally getting those goals, he deserves it and is a great player.
The youngster Sarabia also made his debut in the Champions League and played well against Auxerre. Real Madrid are said to get Arsenal or Milan in the next stage of the Champions League.
