For the sixth year running Real Madrid top the Deloitte Football Money League, which compares the revenue from day to day football operations which the believe is the best publicity available financial comparison. Gary Neville Retiers From Football.

“I have been a Manchester United fan all my life and fulfilled every dream I’ve ever had,” Neville told the club’s website.
“Obviously I am disappointed that my playing days are at an end, however it comes to us all, and it’s knowing when that time is and for me that time is now.
“I have played in the most incredible football teams, playing with some of the best players in the world as well as against them and I have been lucky to have been part of the team’s achievements and the club’s great success.
“There are so many people I want to thank and, of course, top of that list is Sir Alex (Ferguson, pictured left). He has given me so many opportunities and countless support over the last 20 years - he is truly one of the greatest managers - and I have to thank him for that.”

Gary Neville.

“As a young boy he had the will and determination to succeed as a footballer and that character remained with him throughout his career. That’s the legacy he leaves every young player at Manchester United” - Sir Alex

All the best Gary. You had a wonderful career and won so many trophies, any footballer would be envious. Your an inspiration to us all. Good Luck :)

Football Facts For The Day!

It's time for some statistics on the beautiful game. Yayyyy...even Torres and Villa are excited.

Manchester United are the most stable club in Europe, with an average player staying there for 5.71 seasons. Sir Alex Ferguson is famously know for his powerful persuasion skills, after all he did have to concince Ronaldo to come back to play for United after the World Cup 2006 winking incident. And it was suggested Wayne Rooney wanted to leave just a few months ago, but alas he is still at Man Utd. Praise to you Sir Alex ;)

Inter Milan are the oldest team in Europe, with an average age of 29.61 years. Considering last season Inter won the treble, I'm thinking old age isn't really an issue when it comes to winning trophies. More experience, more grey hairs...dosen't matter.

Barcelona have the shortest team in Europe, with an average height of 5ft 10 inches. Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, the three Ballon d'Or finalist are all 5ft 7 and under... maybe goof things do come in small sizes :)

Manchester Rivals Come Together For Some Usher Lovin!!

When a global hip hop megastar such as Usher hits up Manchester to play a show, you can guarantee that most footballers and their wags will be in attendence. Players and bitter city rivals from Manchester United and Manchester City turned up to see the OMG singer and it gives everyone the perfect opportunity to laugh at or applaud thier wardrobe choices.

Collen Rooney - Simple and cute. I approve :)

Wayne Rooney - Not to keen on the whole black/brown jumper, couldv'e have done so much better Wayne. Please ask Coleen for some tips next time.

Nani and Daniela Martins - Danilea we like your outfit...Nani not so much, a velvet jacket. WTF were you thinking, do you own a mirror. Scratch that your a millionaire, hire a stylist for the love of god.

Michael and Lisa Carrick - I love this couple and they are both dressed perfectly. Simple yet stylish, we applaud you :)

Joe Hart - Are you trying to be the next JLS member??? Too baggy trousers, blazer thing is a big no. Please don't try hard Joe!!!

Edin Dzeko - Ahhh another footballer wearing a print T-shirt of a famous vintage filmstar. Usually its Marlon Brando, but this time its James Dean. I don't get the obsession with these t-shirts, but at least there not an eyesore.

Hobbit Show's Support For Manchester United

Yeah I know the title is cheesy and really really bad, but deal with it. I'm not creative today...
Lord of the Rings and Lost star Dominic Monaghan was photographed proudly wearing his Manchester United shirt and pointing to the emblem. He was pictured in Los Angeles atfer Man Utd beat Blackpool in a stunning comeback which saw them win the match despite being 2-0 down at one point.

Repping your team out in LA Dominic... too awesome man :)

Manchester United Christmas Party.

We love christmas, not only because Santa Claus brings us present or that we get to eat a gazillion calories worth of food and not feel guilty. But because our faveourite teams have their annual christmas parties. We get to see who has style, we're looking at you Park and who doesn't  *cough* Macheda *cough*.

The Man Utd boys looked fine and dapper as always. We hope Rooney behaved, we all know what he's like at team gatherings....ouch that was mean, but it had to be said lol!

Premier League Round Up

Arsenal 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur

This is our kind of football game... comeback kings. Tottenham were two goals down thanks to Sami Nasri and Marouane Chamakh. However Gareth Bale scored quick into the first half, with Rafael van der Vaart scoring a penalty, thanks to a handball from Cesc Fabregas to equalise the scores. Younes Kaboul then scored the third and final goal of the game to give Tottenham three points and stop Arsenal taking the lead at the top of the premier league….Sorry Arsenal, but you just weren’t good enough today, better luck next time.

Manchester United 2-0 Wigan

Wayne Rooney returned tonight after an absence due to injury, receiving a standing ovation, however he came on as a sub and didn’t score. We’re still a little bit mad at Wayne because…well you know the whole sleeping with prostitutes whilst your wife is pregnant thing, but if Coleen can forgive him, we’re willing to try too. So we hope he starts scoring again soon. Goals were from Patrice Evra and Javier Hernandez. Manchester United are now joint leaders with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.

Birmingham 1-0 Chelsea

Leaders of the Premier League Chelsea were beaten by Birmingham City, the not so leaders of the premier league…sorry Birmingham fans. Lee Bowyer scored the only goal of the game and whilst Chelsea had eight shots on target this game whilst Birmingham only had one, Chelsea just couldn’t get a goal. Due to the loss today, Chelsea is now joint at the top of the Premier League with Manchester United. Sucks to be you Chelsea.

Liverpool 3-0 West Ham

Liverpool looks to be on the way up with a good win over West Ham. The boys in red scored 3 against bottom of the table West Ham. Glen Johnson, Maxi Rodriguez and Dirk Kuyt all scored, with Kuyt scoring on a penalty. Liverpool fans weren’t that nice to West Ham’s boss, chanting “you’re getting sacked in the morning” …..harsh. Steven Gerrard watched from the bench and while be doing so for the next month whilst he recovers from a hamstring tear. We’ve always had a soft spot for Liverpool and are glad they’re back to winning their games. Get well soon Stevie

Wayne and Coleen Rooney - Jetting of to Dubai

Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen were seen pictured below at Manchester Airport yesterday. It is said they are heading of to Dubai to celebrate Wayne's 25th birthday. Wayne was suppose to have a party with friends and family inside his home, with a giant marquee even being set up, however the couple instead decided to cancel the party and jet of to Dubai, leaving thier son Kai behind. We can understand why Rooney would want a break right now and we wish him a very happy birthday.

Wayne Rooney - Injured For Real This Time

Wayne Rooney Responds

'I met with (chief executive) David Gill last week and he did not give me any of the assurances I was seeking about the future squad, I then told him that I would not be signing a new contract.'

'I was interested to hear what Sir Alex had to say yesterday and surprised by some of it.

'It is absolutely true, as he said that my agent and I have had a number of meetings with the club about a new contract. During those meetings in August I asked for assurances about the continued ability of the club to attract the top players in the world.

'I have never had anything but complete respect for MUFC. How could I not have done given its fantastic history and especially the last six years in which I have been lucky to play a part?'

'Despite recent difficulties, I know I will always owe Sir Alex Ferguson a huge debt. He is a great manager and mentor who has helped and supported me from the day he signed me from Everton when I was only 18.”

'For Manchester United's sake I wish he could go on forever because he's a one off and a genius.'

Well as a fan of Man U I just have one thing to say Wayne....

You play with very talented top world class players, maybe it is just me but you are sounding very selfish and obnoxious right now and frankly as a supporter of this team I am disgusted at you. Not only by your recent personal issues but by the way you are treating this club. The fans and the club have always been there for you and for your sake I hope you dont throw this all away. Man United was probally the best thing that happened to you. Don't give it all up.

Wanye Rooney - Who's Saying What

Jose Mourinho (Real Madrid)

“He will stay…He belongs to Man United, he belongs to Old Trafford, he belongs to many united fans. I believe he is going to stay…but if the end of the day Man United decide they want him to leave give me a call….Everybody would be interested but I wish because I like him, I like Sir Alex, I like Man United I believe the best thing for him is to stay there for life”

Mancini (Man City)

"He is a United player. It's not correct to speak about that situation"

Ancelotti (Chelsea)

"I think that I have to answer this question for a lot of time in the future,"

"I want to be clear, I don't like that some coaches speak about my players and I don't want to do the same.

"I have respect for Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson, it is their problem and I don't want to speak about this."

Arsene Wegner (Arsenal)

Rooney is a great player. I am convinced he will stay at Manchester United because it is his club.

"They have the power to keep him. When you give a great player a rest, you have a story. Rooney is Rooney. He will stay where he is."

John Terry (Chelsea)

Wayne's probably the best young player in the world. Any club would love to him."

Wayne, Wayne, Wayne...what went wrong. You had it all, a great family and a great club supporting you. Hopefully you will snap out of whatever has you acting like this and appreciate what you have before its too late.
