Arsenal 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur
This is our kind of football game... comeback kings. Tottenham were two goals down thanks to Sami Nasri and Marouane Chamakh. However Gareth Bale scored quick into the first half, with Rafael van der Vaart scoring a penalty, thanks to a handball from Cesc Fabregas to equalise the scores. Younes Kaboul then scored the third and final goal of the game to give Tottenham three points and stop Arsenal taking the lead at the top of the premier league….Sorry Arsenal, but you just weren’t good enough today, better luck next time.
Manchester United 2-0 Wigan
Wayne Rooney returned tonight after an absence due to injury, receiving a standing ovation, however he came on as a sub and didn’t score. We’re still a little bit mad at Wayne because…well you know the whole sleeping with prostitutes whilst your wife is pregnant thing, but if Coleen can forgive him, we’re willing to try too. So we hope he starts scoring again soon. Goals were from Patrice Evra and Javier Hernandez. Manchester United are now joint leaders with Chelsea at the top of the Premier League.
Birmingham 1-0 Chelsea
Leaders of the Premier League Chelsea were beaten by Birmingham City, the not so leaders of the premier league…sorry Birmingham fans. Lee Bowyer scored the only goal of the game and whilst Chelsea had eight shots on target this game whilst Birmingham only had one, Chelsea just couldn’t get a goal. Due to the loss today, Chelsea is now joint at the top of the Premier League with Manchester United. Sucks to be you Chelsea.
Liverpool 3-0 West Ham
Liverpool looks to be on the way up with a good win over West Ham. The boys in red scored 3 against bottom of the table West Ham. Glen Johnson, Maxi Rodriguez and Dirk Kuyt all scored, with Kuyt scoring on a penalty. Liverpool fans weren’t that nice to West Ham’s boss, chanting “you’re getting sacked in the morning” …..harsh. Steven Gerrard watched from the bench and while be doing so for the next month whilst he recovers from a hamstring tear. We’ve always had a soft spot for Liverpool and are glad they’re back to winning their games. Get well soon Stevie
